Being a Christian in the public life

John Anderson speaks at the Winning Cities breakfast about sharing Christian faith in public life despite the current cynicism about Christianity. When we communicate our faith in the context of a public life, the risk that will people become hostile is something that may prevent us from speaking.
Anderson reminds us that someone took the risk of reaching out to him with the message of Christ and that we need to respond to the call to express our faith, even when we are higher up in a particular workplace or department.

John tells stories of the people who prayed for him and practically supported him to stay faithful to God while working in politics. John's dry, laconic wit, wisdom and hindsight are encouraging for any Christian in the workplace, especially those in leadership, decision making or politics.
