Eastside Community Church (together with City Bible Forum) will be hosting Sam Chan for an evening of evangelism training on Thursday 29 August.
Our culture has and is changing rapidly, yet the timeless truths of the gospel remain the same. We are now post-Christian, post-church and post-reached. And whether we like it or not, we sit on the wrong side of the so-called ‘culture wars.’ We know that we should share Jesus, but the truth is that many of us don’t know where to start.
The purpose of the evening is to help those in our pews think through these changes in our culture, and to give practical tools for sharing Jesus in this new world. The gospel is the power of God, and it is the only hope for our world. And we are prayerful that this will build our faith and give us wisdom for more effectively sharing Jesus.
Who should come along?
The night is for everyone who loves Jesus. Evangelism is the joyful responsibility of every church and person who acknowledges Jesus as Lord. He is the king of God’s kingdom and deserves all glory, so we must tell others about him. And so, the night is for all Christians.
