At times it's hard to know exactly where our society is headed. Rather than progressing towards a secular nirvana, we seem to be regressing back to a Greco-Roman-Pagan world.
But instead of seeing this as a threat, the church should grasp it as an opportunity, after all, the early church flourished in these conditions. In this workshop we will look at how we can communicate Christ in a post-Christian age by showing that every longing in our culture points to, and is only fulfilled in Christ.
Join us for the inaugural Marketplace Talk presented by City Bible Forum Hobart. The hope is that Marketplace Talk can become a semi-regular place to help local church members think through contemporary issues relating to evangelism, culture and apologetics. David Robertson from Third Space in Sydney will be down to help us think through these ideas in an interactive workshop with plenty of time for Q & A.
David Robertson is an experienced presenter and debater on the place of the Christian faith in the public sphere, a prolific blogger at The Wee Flea and he was the minister at St Peter's Free Church in Dundee, Scotland for 27 years.
