About City Bible Forum
Reaching the world through workers with the good news about Jesus
The gospel changes our whole life. What we hear at church on Sundays spills over into our everyday practice. For many, that includes our life at work!
City Bible Forum brings workers together —across industries and career stages; in cities, towns and suburbs— to pray about and practice being salt and light on the frontlines.
Across Australia, we grow workers in “missional discipleship” so you can have the confidence and joy to stand out and stand up for Jesus. Wherever God has placed you, the good news of Jesus makes a difference to your own work, and to the people around you.
Here is a statement of our beliefs to help you understand what motivates us.
What we do
Networks
Our worker networks are designed to connect and support the distinct needs shaped by geography, industry, and career stage. Some networks are for Christians only, whilst others are open for any or no faith background; exploring together how the Christian faith shapes real life.
Training
Learn how to live distinctively at work and in everyday life. We challenge, equip and support Christians to apply and share their faith at the frontline of modern Australia, in knowledge and practice. Options include: on-demand courses, together with your church or our networks, and year-long mentoring programmes.
Bible reading
Telling others about Jesus can seem daunting – but it doesn’t have to be! We believe God’s Word does God’s work best. All you need to do is open it with someone and allow them to meet Jesus for themselves. We partner with The Word One-to-One, a guided resource that makes word-based relational evangelism enjoyable.
'Third Spaces'
We create safe spaces to engage in meaningful and respectful conversations about the intersection between life and faith. Regardless of belief or background, these events and communities are for the seekers, the explorers, the thinkers.
