Don’t miss out on one of the things that makes Life@Work Conference great - connecting with others! Join one of our five live site Hubs around Australia, or host or join a local Watch Party in a home or church.

Join a hub

When you register, simply select from one of these five Hubs to secure your spot at one of our official live stream sites. There is no additional cost to attend a Hub - simply turn up on the day and enjoy the conference with others! Some Hubs will also feature live presenters. NB: Hubs will not be catered so you will either need to BYO, or purchase food/drinks from nearby retailers.

The churches listed in the drop down menus are hosting Watch Parties. Browse to see if there is one near you, and simply select their name when you register!

NOTE: When you register for a church Watch Party we will be providing your email address to the church so they can contact you should they have any specific details they wish to share.

Host a watch party

We want to make hosting a Watch Party really easy for you (and lots of fun!). Below are the four simple steps to follow.

1. Register as a host

The first thing to do is to register your watch party so we can include it as an option for people to select when they register (public church Watch Parties only). We will email you a Host Discount Code which you can use to register yourself.

2. Host Pack

All church hosts who register prior to midnight Sunday 28 January 2024 will be sent a host pack (NB - pack will arrive the week of the conference). Included in that pack are posters and other items to decorate your church. If you don’t register before that date e-versions of that material will be available to download from here in January.

A reminder, all attendees will be receiving their conference e-booklet so you don’t have to do any printing to get them ready for the day!

3. Invite your friends or church members

We want to make it really easy for you to get the word out to your friends or church members about your Watch Party. Simply download our MEDIA KIT to find a range of resources you can use during a church service, on social media, or in an email.

Church Hosts - When you invite people to register for your Watch Party please encourage them to select your church from the drop-down menu. This is to ensure that we can give you accurate attendance numbers prior to the conference (you will be sent two emails prior to the conference (31/1 and 14/2) giving you the names and email addresses of everyone who has registered for your watch party).

4. Decide what to eat together!

Between the two sessions we won’t be planning any activities or discussion during that hour - we want you to relax with your guests and enjoy the social time. What you eat together we'll leave to you to plan so it can be just how you like it! The main thing is we want you to enjoy the day.

Mike Baird

Mike Baird is the CEO of HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing health, palliative care, dementia, and aged care services. Mike has over 30 years’ experience in banking and financial services, was former NSW Treasurer and served as the 44th Premier of NSW.  Mike is passionate about family, sport and looking after community’s most vulnerable. Mike is Chair, Cricket Australia and also sits on the Board of Future Generation. He is an ambassador for Bear Cottage.

Dr Sarah Irving-Stonebraker is an Australian-based academic, focusing on the history of Britain and the colonial world and especially the intersection of religion, science, and politics.

Ai is the COO of Private Media, an independent online journalism business and publisher of Crikey, Smart Company and The Mandarin. Prior to this she held leadership roles at Accenture and ntegrity strategy agency. As an Asian, religious, female, part-time working mum, Ai is passionate about creating inclusive work environments and was recently awarded 2023 Employer of the Year (Women in Digital), as well as being shortlisted for Employee Initiative of the Year (Women's Agenda).

James is married to Anita and they have three children, Will (14), Heidi (13) and Hannah (11). James works as a builder in his own company JV BUILDS, with two apprentices. He specialises in residential work such as additions, extensions, renovations, bathrooms and decks. He loves working with his clients to see their spaces give them a sense of joy, calm and thankfulness.

Amy has had a 25-year career in law, finance, consulting and government. She is the former Chief Executive Officer of Investment NSW. Prior to this role, Amy was Deputy Secretary at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Amy has also been a Partner of PwC Sydney, worked in infrastructure finance at NSW Treasury and Barclays Bank, and as an infrastructure lawyer at a number of top tier law firms.

Andrew Laird works for City Bible Forum in Canberra and directs Life@Work - an initiative aimed at connecting Christian faith with our daily work. He's the author of I am what I do: Reshaping our understanding of self and work, and Under Pressure: how the gospel helps us handle the pressures of daily work.
